Frequently Asked Questions
What you need to know about attaching, adjusting, and using your SideEye™ safely and effectively.
FAQ
How do I attach and adjust the SideEye™?
- Put your goggles on your helmet and pick the side you want to add the mirror.
- Slip the SideEye™ down over the strap behind the goggle frame where it can contact BOTH the helmet and ear flaps, with the logo facing outward. (If the strap is doubled there, fasten to the inner strap.)
- Put your helmet on and place the goggles how you normally wear them. If the mirror flops over, tighten the goggle straps to cinch it up.
- Pivot the arm so the SideEye™ is forward at about 1:00 on the right side or 11:00 on the left.
- Swivel the lens around so you can just barely see it with your peripheral vision.
- Adjust so you can just make out the top of your shoulder and the edge of your helmet. The rest of the image shows what’s behind and beside you.
- Give your eyes a few seconds or minutes to adjust. Keep the mirror just at the edge of peripheral vision — easy to glance at but not obstructing your forward view.
- Stow the SideEye™ against your helmet when not needed (lunch, lift, powder) by pivoting the assembly backward.
What should you do — and not do?
✓ DO
Allow your eyes a few minutes or a run or two to adjust. Most eyes will adapt to using the mirror. However, a convex lens like we use admits less light to the eye than a flat lens. We have chosen to uae a convex lens for its much larger field of view. If you’re having trouble, reach out to us.

✗ DON’T
Expose the lens to alcohol. Clean the lens only with a soft clean cloth and water.
